Naturopathic Wellness Wednesday: Physical Therapy Beyond Injury

For this Wellness Wednesday, I had a talk with Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist, Dr. Monique Dupree.

Many people only consider physical therapy after they are injured. After healing from broken bone or surgery they are referred by their orthopedist or surgeon to start the process of becoming mobile again through physical therapy. The common idea that physical therapy is rehab after something has already occurred is limit. Actually working with a physical therapist can prevent injuries, improve posture and alignment and even help you with your fitness goals of running a marathon! To give you a new perspective on physical therapy as a part of self-care, I’ll be chatting with physical therapist Dr. Monique Dupree.

Dr. Dupree is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist at F Squared Physical Therapy who’s clinical style and expertise are products of her extensive studies with the Maitland group and NAIOMT, two manually based post graduate programs. Her attention to detail has been praised on Yelp and ZocDoc!

This is part of my "Wellness Wednesdays." Each Wednesday, I have a conversation with my favorite people on different topics so that you can learn about life and topics such as self-care and physical therapies improving one’s self to achieve wellness and health goals.
